So after wiping three times last night, I mention this spectacular escapade to a co-worker who offers this suggestion:

[09:27] me: bleh. my guild went into kara last night. we killed illhoof but wiped 3 times on shade and gave up. shame. I am on the quest where the next step is kill shade

[09:27] coworker: when you open the door to his room, nobody goes in
[09:28] coworker: you send a hunter pet in and it starts the fight
[09:28] coworker: and everybody stands outside
[09:28] coworker: you dont get hit with the flamewreath, arcane blast, or blizzard
[09:28] coworker: and he pops outside of the door every min or two
[09:28] coworker: and you just blast the hell out of him
[09:30] coworker: he cant hit you - but you have to kill him when hes outside


Don't know if it will work. Would be fun to try.

Have to agree with Drizzt on this one, Blizz records EVERYTHING. I't wouldn't surprise me if they have a tool to see if certain bosses die outside of a certain radius (they've nerfed bosses that could be kited pre-bc.)

I have a few ideas as to why we keep dying. I just don't know if I want to go into it or not.

According to reports, whenever a boss is downed in a higher end instance or World boss .... It sends a report to a GM so they can check it over and make sure it's legit. Which is why when a paladin two shots Kazzak things are changed right away. Anywho, As much as I'd love to cheat on him..we can't cause I don't wanna get banned.

When the GM sees that only a pet hit him....over and over >.> Just wouldn't look good. That being said, back to the drawing boards.

I only twitched in a flame wreath one time on Friday. Learned that lesson.

I want to get some diversification in healers, paladin healers are great on single targets, but multi targets are not their specialty, until WoTLK comes out and mebbe we can do multi

Well I was the off-healer a few runs before you showed up...but we did need DPS >.>

I'm still collecting any healing gear that some of us may not need, If push comes to shove and I have to go back to healing, I will.

However, the issue isn't a healing issue.

It also isn't a DPS issue (he didn't mass polymorph us - which usually is the sign of lack of DPS)

The Blizzard has been my downfall usually. Right when elementals appear and I try to go target one for banish or fear, bang a blizzard kills me.

What i do for bliz, is if i hear it coming from him, i just go to the middle, then run to the spot behind the blizzard so i know it wont come hit me

For Melee, if you get hit by the blizzard you're just to damn focused on your target, always keep an eye on the damn Blizzard. As for casters....Go to the Middle of the room or Run around in circles, really your call. Just remember, there is no aggro table so if he's gonna hit you, you're hit. Hopefully he doesn't two shot or one shot you like someone...*cough thinger Cough* >.>

Now now, I don't know if Thinger knows this board is here yet. Wait to pick on him when he does.
